EDIDIONG ITA: SOUTH SOUTH DIRECTOR POSITION, A CALL TO SERVE NASELS WITH PASSION

The newly emerged south south director of NASELS Nigeria, Comrade Edidiong Ita has described his emergence as a call to render selfless services to the Association and Nigerian students at large.He congratulated the National president comrade Ilorin moses and thanked him in style for giving him an opportunity to serve in a government he tagged'A government of Victorious Grace'.

In his words,he expressed a heart felt gratitude to all the chapter presidents in his region who supported his aspiration and encouraged them to hold on to the belief that NASELS Nigeria shall move above her contemporaries to become the most sought after students'body in Nigeria. Hear him,'I may not have time for an overiped embellishment but it is official that NASELS Nigeria is the most coordinated students'body in Nigeria with a fantastic structure all over Nigeria, so it is in my belief that one day we shall rise above our contemporaries and become a body that occupies every where in the students struggle.

Yes,.!we have the intellectual capacity to control the minds of the populace and indeed if Nigeria needs a body that can promote peace,unity and harmony then they should locate NASELS Nigeria as the above remain our objectives.' He added that no interest should make any Naselsite forget that fact that the primary aim of NASELS Nigeria is to promote peace,unity,love and harmony amongst our region,a situation where we dont see ourselves as North,East ,west,nor South but as NASELSITES. So we will make the body a joke if we don't grow beyond ethnicity .In his words he said'l believe in Ilorin moses,l believe in the chapter presidents,l believe in myself and I strongly believe in NASELS.

Together, we shall succeed,together we shall take NASELS to that promise land,a land where nobody shall claim NASELS,a land where no NASELSITE shall 'plan' a fellow NASELSITE,a land where we shall not see each other as one from Cashmere, Absu, Aksu,Uniuyo, uniben, AAU, OAU, UNIPORT, UNIABUJA, UNICAL, DELSU, NSUKKA...but as A NASELSITE.

Indeed our government has a taskful job to do but together we shall give NASELS A new face,by next year when we meet in lCOSELS,we shall meet as people who have repented from old ways and are ready to pursue a new course. Yes!we shall bring Ngugi wathiong'o to Nigeria and tell him we can no longer weep like Njorege ,we shall tell Achebe that things have been rebuilt just for the love of NASELS and we shall join David diop and sedar Senghor to sing the Negritude of NASELS where love and unity shall reign.'
