The Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Agricultural Projects, Hon. Armstrong Moses in the company of his team visited the 2nd season demonstration cassava farms in Abak, Eket, and Uruan LGAs respectively after the rain to see how the crops are fairing.

It will be recalled that His Excellency The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel had constituted the Technical Committee to oversee the aspect of mechanized farming in the state and to offer technical advice to farmers where necessary.

The second season demonstration farm is handled by the technical committee on Agriculture and food sufficiency. 

Going by the Governor's target that in the next two years the price of garri should drop by 50%.

The SA express satisfaction that the crops are doing well as His Excellency's goal will also be met. This also goes to show that second season farming can work in Akwa Ibom State. The SA and his team were taken around the three senatorial restrict farms by Engr. Uwak, member Technical Committee on Agriculture and Food Sufficiency.
