In Akwa Ibom state, Governor Udom Emmanuel of PDP is contesting the Appeal court judgement that ordered for a rerun election in the state.

He is being challenged by Umana Okon Umana, a former secretary to the state government and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress.

The apex court like it had done with other governorship cases is expected to give a summary judgement.

Already, there is palpable tension in the two states.

Supporters of the candidates are optimistic of a favourable ruling.
